Employees at the Geneva Public Library are hired through Ontario County Civil Service. Eligibility for all positions requires the completion of an Ontario County Application for Examination, with specific application instructions dependent on the position.  Additional eligibility requirements vary by position and will be explained in the specific job posting.

Civil Service Exams

For certain competitive positions, the Library is required to hire off of a list of eligible candidates that have completed a civil service exam through Ontario County Civil Service or are eligible for a transfer via the same position in another county.
