When and where will the library vote be held?
The vote will be held from 11 am to 8 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in the mini-gym at North Street Elementary School, 400 W. North St., Geneva.
Who can vote?
Any Geneva City School District resident who is a registered voter is eligible to vote. Geneva City School District residents 18 years of age or older may register to vote. Qualified individuals can register to vote by mail or in person at the Ontario County Board of Elections, 74 Ontario St, Canandaigua.
What are we voting for?
- Budget: The public will be voting on a proposition to collect property taxes within the Geneva City School District to fund Fiscal Year 2026-2027. The library tax and expenses are not part of the school district’s budget.
- Trustee: The public will also be electing two new library board trustees. The trustees will serve five-year terms beginning July 1, 2026 and ending June 30, 2031. Trustees play a crucial role in overseeing the library’s finances, advocating for its services, and shaping its policies. To learn more click here.
