As part of our commitment to supporting a lifetime of learning,
Geneva Public Library staff are available to conduct research on behalf of patrons.

The Library’s Genealogy and Research Policy provides a summary of our research resources, procedures, and potential costs related to requesting Library staff-led research.

  • Staff research is capped at 4 hours per patron request.
  • Staff research is limited by their accessibility of resources.
  • Delivery time for requests may vary depending on a variety of factors, such as the size of the request, the availability of resources, and employee workloads.

Be prepared to provide the librarians with the following information:
– Your Name and Contact Information, so we can get any results back to you.
– Any Dates connected to your research request. Please be as specific as possible, our microfilm reels have to be scrolled through day by day.
– Any Names connected to your research request.
– A Description of the event to be researched.
